Chia-chin Tsai, Associate Professor and Department Chair
Ph.D., British Literature, National Taiwan University, Taiwan
I teach mainly literary courses, namely Introduction to Western Literature and British Literature since the Romantic Period, through which I lead students to enjoy the beauty and pathos expressed via the poetic language in a literary text. The objective of my teaching is to equip with students the ability of textual analysis or interpretation and to develop the habit of independent thinking through the appreciation of renowned literary works. In recent years, I have also offered graduate courses like Postmodern Theory and Fiction and Psychoanalysis and Literature, both of which are my research interests.
