Introduction
I teach in the Department of English Language and Literature at Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan. I want my students to be practical about their learning, to ask questions, and to consider the purpose of all the schoolwork they do.
I enjoy working with students who care about learning for its own sake, and who work at improving themselves and their English within and outside of class. I love to see students express and defend original, meaningful ideas.
I study children's and adolescent literature, narrative theory, and second language learning. I am also very interested in the Bible as literature, ways to improve students' writing, and various ways in which the disciplines of English intersect. |
