Ph.D., National Taiwan University, Taiwan
Trying to combine the academic job with my personal commitment, I choose to study the nineteenth century American literature, phenomenology, posthumanism, and ecocriticism. I am the author of several articles, including “Back to the World of Light: On Tactile Subject in Melville and Merleau-Ponty,” and “From Everydayness to Programmability: A Discussion of the Posthuman Tendency in Stiegler’s Theory via the Nineteenth Century Magic Theatre.” In teaching, I do hope my student not only obtain the basic information about literary works, but also cultivate a lifelong interest in reading, thinking and writing.
