Congratulations! You survived from the severe Soochow three-two dropout rate and stepped into the next semester. If now I could only tell you one useful thing, then I’ll say: Don’t look down upon Soochow University , because this is really a paradise which you can get honed. The four-year college life could be really a stepping stone to a successful future if you choose right and helpful classes. Now, as a senior veteran, I am going to introduce you four significant classes that I ever took in my college life.

I know many students in our department desire to attend a great Literature graduate school, then you must take Professor Chiou Yen-bin’s( ??? ) English Literature ? and ? . Dr. Chiou is a both humorous and clever polymath. During his class, he uses a simple but clear way to explain and express all the literary skills behind particular works. Also, he always links the history background to his lectured works to students in order to bring them the whole complete context about those works. In his class, you will definitely immerse in his unique style and eloquent lecture. He is irreplaceable.

Who is able to interpret Bible in mixed Taiwanese, Chinese and English lines and graphic actions to impress the class? The answer is the teacher of biblical literature, Jive Sun ( ??? ). Jive had a hard time during childhood and adolescence due to the poor performance in school subjects. However, he didn’t give up and gradually complete his bachelor and master degrees summa cum laude and now he is endeavoring for his doctor degree. The exemplary teacher brings his own life experiences to class and mixes them with his interpretation to the Bible. Every student learn not only abundant biblical knowledge but also the right attitude toward life.

Professor Hugo Tseng ( ??? ) is equivalent to the ace of our department. With his s pecialties in linguistics , he deliveries good lecture in English word-formation and etymology, and develops a harsh grading policy to us, but that makes me memorize vocabulary systematically and easily. Hugo picks useful words from all the fields and deconstructs their prefix and suffix carefully to help us enlarge our vocabulary. Enrolling in his class is better than any other TOFEL classes at private cram schools.

Gina Yeh( ??? ), the smart teacher I admire and recommend personally the most. She’s like a walking dictionary. Last year I took her journalism translation and editing, she always responded and corrected students’ report immediately and direct to the right point. During her classes, she shared every relevant knowledge she knows with the class. She the kind of teache r who makes you never lose you r thirst to knowledge.

Do you have the craving to enroll their classes right now?
