As a freshman, before beginning the second semester, you have to review what you do in the first semester. Do you do something meaningful? What are the meaningful things? How do you define the meaningful things?

If you ever think about these questions in the first semester, you may do something meaningful and benefit from them. If you have never thought about these questions, you may waste much time and do something meaningless. In my opinions, it’s good to make up your mind do something you really want to do in the freshman year. If you are not sure what you really want to have in the future, you just keep trying on everything you curious about. Follow your mind and trust your feeling.

After taking the university entrance exams, you may want to have a brand new life as different as the senior high school life. For most of the freshmen, instead of studying hard at school as usual, you may play a lot with many new friends or classmates. Some freshmen attend school clubs making new friends. They will meet many different major students. They learn about how to cooperate with each other in many activities. They will have many good memories on different kind of activities. They broaden their relationship with others. They are not lonely as the one staying at home and keeping away from others. They share their happiness with the club members. They play and hang around together. They can benefit from each other. It’s a good way to enjoy your freshman year attending a club member or more than one. Some freshmen have part-time jobs after school. They may want to have an experience which is different from a school life. They don’t need to hand in a paper or have a presentation in their jobs; instead, they have to do the hard toil and do their duty on their jobs. Besides earning money on their part-time jobs, those students have a social experience which they can’t learn from school classes. It’s nice to have a part-time job as a student before graduating from school. The others volunteer to help the underprivileged, such as the orphans, the lonely elderly, the rarely disease suffers. They may help everyone or everything they want to help. There are many things need to help in our society, so it’s really great to be a volunteer giving others a helping hand. As a student, such a passionate heart of helping others is needed by the society.

What are the meaningful things in the freshman year or in your school life? No matter what you want, just give it a try in different things, and then you will know what are meaningful and what are meaningless for yourself. No one can tell you the answers. Only you know yourself. In the second semester, you should have a short-term plan in everything for yourself. Not just follow others. Give yourself a meaningful plan before the second semester.
