Do you think make new friends is a vital requirement in our society? I guess you might say “definitely” but you might be too shy to express yourself well or feel so embarrassed to do that. Have you ever had this experience “you try to make more new friends, but you don’t know how and even where to make new friends?” To be honest, I do! I thought my life seems to repeat, repeat, and repeat everyday. Life for me might like the same routine that I just accomplish one day and the next day come. Sometimes I really cannot stand this kind of boring life, and I would like to try anything different and novel. Then I make up my mind to step out.

Before entering college, we might possess less chance to make new friends besides schoolmates or tutor schoolmates. However, we are not high school students any more. We can control who we want to be and what kind of life we would live. Thus, I ask myself where new friends come out. To make new friends is never like “Study harder, and you will obtain more!” or like “Get up early, and you will have more warm.” You might open your mind to treat others but you can use some tips to accumulate your intrapersonal connection easier.

First question “where to make new friends?” I would rather say “School Clubs.” Try to joins clubs as many as you can. There are many different majors students come there together. Thus, you have many chances to know friends besides English major students. The ways to choose a school club are not depending on your interests, but how do you get along with club members. Do you feel that they are friends that you can hang out with? Do you enjoy the time with them? If yes! Just join this club even this club “meeting bankrupt, curses, or locating at the dusty corner that no one cares about.”

Besides school clubs, you can afford to join outside school clubs. Have you ever heard ” Young Club Center , Youth Net, or China Youth Corps”? Those members are all youth who have some similar concepts and prospects to work together, and they almost are students from NTU, NCHU, NTNU, NXXX. I don’t mean that private schools are inferior than them; however, they do have many positive virtues that we can learn from, no matter their knowledge, attitudes, or ability to deal with problems.

Third, from part-time jobs. Due to our identity- students, we can not afford to pay too much time on jobs; we might take some part-time jobs like World Trade Center to do sellers, interpreters or help to hold a performance speech. Not just make friends form colleagues, but also from your supervisors. Try to speak loudly and confidently to your boss. Remember, they are not the fierce tyrannosaurus but mild human beings.

Fourthly, strangers might be your friends. While going shopping, seeing a movie, walking on the road or eating in a restaurant, these are potential ways to make new friends. One time, I was on the bus, there was a woman who found herself had no easy-card, no changes. I took out fifteen dollars to her, and imagining how her grateful expression will be. She was keeping saying “thanks, thanks, and thanks.” She asked me to leave any contact phone or e-mail address; we switched name cards to each other. From then on, we kept in tough with each other even three years have past.
