HW. Introduce and explain three tips for language learning that you think other students might not know about. Try to find creative and unusual ideas.

Week 4: 3/13 Success & Reading aloud

Talk about what it means to be successful and how to achieve it.
Read a passage aloud in a way that grabs attention.

HW. Find a short passage to read aloud in class. During part of our class you will read your passage aloud to a small group of students.

Week 5: 3/20 Relationships and Advice

Talk about relationships, difficulties in relationships, and giving advice.

HW. Describe a relationship that is having a problem. Write the details of the relationship and problem asking for help. Begin by saying, “I have a friend who…”

Talk about restaurants: food, service, and atmosphere?

HW. Introduce a particular restaurant. Write a short restaurant review. Bring information, pictures, menu, etc. of this restaurant to share with your classmates.

HW. Prepare your part of the panel discussion. Bring a draft to class of the ideas you will share.
Group 1: MBTI (Each panelist plays the part of a different personality)-But what will you discuss?
Group 2: The Impact of fast fashion (possible roles: consumer, environmentalist, business person, shop owner, etc.)
Group 3: Traveling & possible problems (first-time traveler, traveler on a budget, traveling with family, etc.)
Group 4: Should children be raised in affluence (possible roles: a child who has been raised this way, affluent parents, a friend of the child who has been raised in affluence, a psychologist, etc.)
