It has been a year since I came to the Soochow University . The time passes so fast. I can still remember the scene that I sat in front of the desk writing test sheet diligently. The scene that my class stood on the athletic field playing volleyball and chatting together. It is so vivid ! I just can’t believe my first year of college life is gone ! It seems that I just attended the freshman ceremony yesterday. After a year’s experience, I don’t think the college life is better than that in senior high school. Before entering to the college, you will look forward to the freedom as a college student, and so will I. I have the same thought. You will admire that they don’t have classes all day and can go to play at random. Maybe it is right, but when you get something new there may have something you will lose. The unity of the class is not as good as before. It is hard to make a intimate friend like you are in senior high school. After all, students come from different place in Taiwan have different living background, school, country, cognition and so on. This is the reason why it is hard to make good friends because they do not know your past and understand you well. So, after you come to university, you have to make efforts on your relationship with your friends. They are our friends, also the foundation of your success in the future. There is another point which is that you have to learn to manage and distribute your time well. Being a college student is not as hard as being a high school student. You will have more time to do extracurricular activities, but you have to find it by yourself. If you don’t take it well, you will think your life is a little boring and colorless. Then there is no difference between life in senior high school and in college.
The last point I have to mention is about your goal. No matter which department that you major in, you have to be responsible for it. A whole year is enough for you to consider your future. Although I have not figured it out, I have already gradually thought this question. You are the freshman, so you have more time. A year passes really fast. You do not want to regret in the first year without doing anything, do you? It is not too late, you just start your journey!
