It is saying that everyone has four required courses during the university time, the school work, the part-time job, the love and the association. Expect the association we can get the high grades and the credit points after we graduate from the university. Therefore, if you haven’t joined a club and begun to enjoy your time, what are you waiting for? Let’s move on.
There is a stereotype on extra-curricular activities. Many people will think I am not an outgoing, talkative, and also not good at making friends with others so I don’t suit to join a club. That’s big wrong conception. In our university, we have six categories of the activities. That is public, service, art, physical education, academic, and friendship association. In this way, students could choose any type of clubs that interested them. For example, if you are the person like to sing with others you can join the choral society, or if you like to go out with friends to look the stars in the sky you can join the club which research some thing in the nature, they will plan the outside activity to observe the nature. Not all the extra-curricular activities are very exciting or even have a lot of movements , that is to say if you are not an outgoing person, don’t worry, you also can join a club and get a beautiful points.
If you still not believe that join the extra-curricular activity can let you university life be more colorful, then take me for example. I join the English Department Student Association which serves the students in English Department and to plan some activities like English Night, sports meet and so on to let the students and teachers join it and enjoy the time. Also I join the Master of Association Seminar which belong to the school and plan the activities to let the leaders of all the clubs in the SCU join and learn the skills to manage their clubs. I learned a lot of things from the activities, like how to communicate with partners? how to clearly and appropriately to convey my thoughts to others? how to teach your partners to learn something from you? and so on. Of course you can make many friends with a lot of people and also learn a lot of from your friends.
